European Drum Show 2025: Rhythm in Focus
This project showcases my photographic impressions from the 2025 European Drum Show — a vibrant gathering of innovation, performance, and musical craftsmanship. Captured with a documentary mindset, these images reflect the atmosphere of the event and the details that define it.
From the crisp textures of high-end e-drums by EFNOTE to the glow of illuminated control pads, each frame highlights the precision of modern drumming technology. Candid portraits and behind-the-scenes moments reveal a personal side of the show — musicians interacting, sharing knowledge, and connecting through their passion for rhythm.
A key visual anchor of this series is the Mobile Drumschool Van, a striking symbol of accessibility and modern music education. Paired with exclusive materials like The Masterclass of Electronic Drums and the official European Drum Show Magazine, the visuals aim to reflect not just the event’s technical excellence but its sense of community.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to accompany the Regio TV Bodensee crew throughout the day, documenting their work as they reported from the show floor. This collaboration added another layer to the story — one that blends journalism, performance, and visual storytelling into a cohesive narrative.
Whether it’s a close-up of a finely machined hi-hat clutch or a spontaneous exchange between artists and media professionals, this series captures the essence of today’s percussion scene: innovative, connected, and deeply human.
